ohms 1940 buick sending unit

i bought a aftermarket gas tank and am getting a aftermarket sending unit for it and need to know the ohms for the gas gauge to sending unit that was original with the factory gauge.thanks ted(1940 buick straight 8 cpe)

 

My 49 cadillac is 0-30. May be the same for buick.

 

I believe all GM sending units before 1966 were 0-30 ohms.
