I gotta buddy with one..no side trim, stationary 1/4 windows etc. His has had the back seat riser [platform] removed and has no idea what it's made from, size of it etc etc. Can somebody with a good one click a photo or 2 for me and give me an idea what dimensions it is? I gotta ***ume it's a wooden piece. How does it attach to the floor? His car has cherry floors but that piece is missing...thanks in advance.

Rocky, not a lot of help but here's what I found.

Found this "As far as the back seat area, where the seat bottom was located, there are metal pieces that form supports for a plywood raised "floor", not found on cars with rear seats. These were missing from dad's car as someone was apparently going to try to put a rear seat in and turn it into a Bel Aire (holes drilled in body for chrome), and I had to fabricate them. I looked at a '57 utility sedan, and also located a '55 utility sedan that the owner let me remove the plywood to make copies, and to make patterns for the metal supports. There was a rubber mat that laid on top of the plywood. For the seat back area, another piece of plywood lays right up against the braces, from side to side. I believe this was painted, but dad chose to cover his to match the interior. The inner wheel wells were exposed. I do believe there was a package shelf, but do not know this as fact. We put one in dad's." here - http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=69576&page=2

And there is a guy selling them on ebay. I attached his picture, it will give you an idea of the contour. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1955-56-57-...latform-Plywood-2pc-/300833382041#ht_64wt_750

    Great snapshots!!

Does anyone have pictures of the stationary window brackets? I've got everything I need but those, I figure they'd be easy to make, just want to see what they look like and where they attach.

    Thanks!

Think a guy in Fla. has paper patterns and the clips. I've helped on two of these and the parts a very good. It'll take me a few days to get the info. PM in a few days to remind me if you want.

where did the white paint on that window clamp come from ? not the factory as it would be out of ***embly sequence ...

  18. Oh, I see. Does anybody reproduce those floor supports?

  19. Send me your email will send picture of the real GM window clips, will also show you the clips I make for the same
    Larry

  20. I make the rear inside floor supports just like GM did send me your email and I will send pictures
    Larry
PS I have just about everything to make it just like GM did all the right rim

  21. The hole in the middle of the board is to clear the hump, then a metal plate goes flush with the top of the floor board
    Larry

  22. Those clips are in the wrong place, may have trouble clearing the inside garnish mld.
    Larry

  23. To whom it may concern,
I make the paper templates for both boards from the GM boards can not go wrong
The board is attached to the risers and back board is attached with seat screws with washers
    Larry

  24. The risers from the factory were spot welded to the floor
