Hey guys I am looking for a little help here please, my wife and I are planning on adopting the biological brother to our 2 year old little girl. My wifey is letting me go crazy decorating his room, and I am thinking rt 66 Americana and want to put old license plates round the room as a border and was wondering if anybody has some cool old plates they wanna donate?? We don't wanna go the eBay route and spend a small fortune so I figured I would ask my friends here on the HAMB. If you guys are interested pm me and I will send you my address and will post pics when the room is done-thanks guys and God Bless!!!

I've got a couple of California plates, nothing too unique or interesting, just got them off some wrecked cars at work. I'd be more than willing to send you 3 or 4 if that would be okay? You won't hurt my feelings if you say no because they aren't too unique or interesting... Just lemme know. You are doing a great thing by adopting. I have an adopted sister. God bless you and your family.:)

You can buy "lots" of license plates on eBay for a reasonable price.

  10. Congratulations and blessings! I am an adoptions case manager with the Department of Family and Children Services here in GA. Also an adoptive parent--my wife and I adopted a sibling group of 3 girls in 1980, they were 3, 4, and 6 at the time. July 14 was the 33rd anniversary of our adoption, also the 33rd birthday of oldest daughter's husband who was born on the day at the hour we signed the placement agreements.

Congrats on the adoption. I have 3 daughters, 2 of which are adopted. My youngest adopted daughter is the car nut of the 3. She's always with me in the garage. PM me your address and I'll round up something cool for your new son's room.

Its fun to build a future hot rodder huh! I've only got a few plates right now and they are all sentimental. We've been doing my 3 year old sons room, and he eats it up! Best bang for the buck so far has been building him his own real deal work bench. Made to where we can raise it up as he gets taller, and even if he wants to move it to the garage some day! A couple weeks ago I added an old dirt car steering wheel, a VW mirror, some old gauges, a gas pedal from a 55 Chevy gasser, and a video game shifter (NO VIDEO GAMES JUST THE SHIFTER I hate video games). All told I've got $60 in lumber and some garage sale/swap meet stuff for the build!

We we to the Iron Invasion last year and had a great time, but I'm not sure if I will be able to go....depends on if I can get the day off of work and how the family is doing, might bring my little girl-hopefully not near as cold as last year!!!!

Also I wonder if I can get Ryan to put a sticky on this post???

We adopted four boys and now also have a biological son and daughter.
Congratulations and remember what you are also doing for your daughter as well. We got our first two boys then about six years later got their older brothers.

Its great to keep them together.

We (wifey & I) know the value of keeping the siblings together if possible. But due to age and the frequency at which the birth mother likes to pop out kids this will be all the kids we can handle!!! Trust me we would love to have a house full, but know why we should be happy with and can afford-both time & money.

Not a private adoption so the whole world can know our name, but thanks for thinking of our safety and privacy!!
