The Candyman has new paint on the tanker and lettering done by the uber talented Rollie G.
Also a new 1 of 3 injection unit on the Jimmy 302(Neil can detail that info).... Bad Bob Owens,Earl Schieb and Candyman are gonna have fun!....Keith Floyd too!
Since the body required new mods to accept the new injection and exhaust... new lettering was needed.Look up the fellas on the salt.

    Pics....

I am told only three sets of Jimmy injectors were made for the stock head configuration, by a machanist name Bruce Johnson, who has since p***ed away in a racing accident.

This set of injetors were brought to the salt last year and I was lucky enough to make the purchase, with many thanks to "Syd's Dropped Axles", who advised his friend to bring the injectors by our pits !

Johnson Injectors with Hilborn plumbing should wake the Jimmy up !

Complete roller vavle train, 4 bolt main, straight cut timing gears, huge bore with a
s_ _ _ load of head work, should help us rookie's out agian this year....

Awsome pin striping and lettering by Rollie Guertin, shouldn't hurt us either !

Stop by the pits and say hello... I have also added a pic our our push truck being driven up from Tx by Bob Owens and Keith Floyd...

    Drivers : Bob Owens & Candy-Man

CREW : Earl Schrieb, Ben D, Keith FLoyd, Big Ed, Cliff Waller and more to come !

193257 : Hey Rick... Glad you are going ! Will you be riding with Marty or bringing another great Deuce Roadster to fly around on the salt ?

earl schieb : Mike, you are our secret weapon on our crew to get this Jimmy to sing !

CG : Hello... Yes we will be selling shirts on the salt, we need fuel money ! HA HA

See you guys on the salt and thanks for all the kind words !

  18. Just out of curiosity, I thought I'd update a little bit. Based on the SCTA Results, Mothers Worry ran:

    August 10th - 145.794 in the quarter and 146.926 in Mile 2
    August 11th - 143.919 in the quarter and 138.923 in Mile 1

I also came across these two photos on Instagram and thought I'd post them up. One by The Crunch, and one by Tim Sutton

  19. Best of luck to you and the crew Neil! Looking good!

  20. Mother's Worry had some bugs that kept it from making any more runs(I'll let Neil tell the tale)....but we all had a good time. :)

Mike is correct... We are still having a head gasket and head cooling issues. We will have to add a water log manifold to the head next year and work more on the head gasket. We cold never get a full run as we had to shut the car down due to overheating issues. We will be looking at the motor soon, as I hope we did not crack the block...

Certainly glad you made it out to the salt Mike (earl schieb).

    Oh well, next year...

    Cheers, Neil....
