who would you guys recommend on here to get a set of tires from?
i'm sure this has been covered before, but i'm looking for unsolicited advice from the car guys here, not from the sales people.
if you're afraid to offend someone, please just pm me.

    thank you.

  2. I don't know where "downtown hell" is, but if you live near Pennsylvania you can check out Universal tire, I got some Firestone front tires from them and they are reasonably prices and I picked them up at Carlisle and saved on shipping. Also bought some wheels and tires from Coker a few years back. They will mount and balance for free if you buy a set and they are an Alliance member. Got them at Carlile swap meet too, no shipping cost.

Coker tires is a alliance vender. I am very happy with mine.

  7. Coker is a Alliance Vender and I'm not a salesman for them but I have a set of Bias Ply on my Deuce pickup and a set of Coker Radials on my wife's wagon.

To date I have purchased 5 sets of tires from Coker and have been happy with them all. HRP

  10. I've dealt with Universal and had good results. I have also dealt with Coker and had good results there. Can't complain either way.

I bought a set of wide whites from Coker at Carlisle. Got the Alliance discount. The discount was more than it cost me to support the HAMB. When we mounted them several months later one developed a blister. The guys at Coker took care of the issue and replaced it with no hassle. If and when I need any more that's where I'll go.
