I can identify those Autoettes for you. If you want details I will need to get some additional info though. For starters, the one on top is an Autoette Model 770. It may be a CruiseAbout but will need to know more about it to tell. The turn signals were a factory option, as was the now missing windshield. This picture suggests it was made between 1949 and 1956. If you send me the serial number I will be happy to decode it. A couple of photos of the interior would also help.

The car on the bottom is a 1957 or 1958 Autoette. Probably a CruiseAbout but the image doesn't show much. A serial number would help as would better photos. For a little background you can check out my blog "The Autoette Project". Send me a note at lfisher160@cox.net and I can help further.

As for the reply with the 1946 Motorette, I'd be interested in comparing it to my three Motorettes. If you would contact me I'd be grateful for some photos.

What cl*** will those things run in at El Mirage????? But seriously, I can't help, but my eclectic sense of humor got the best of me. Butch/56sedandelivery.

Look for the serial number under the front right side of the seat. The numbers are stamped in the steel seat support.

As for El Mirage, I have a Marketour that was used by a SCTA member as a pit / tow vehicle! At 18 mph it would take a lot to get to a record...
