just wondering how low i can go with my 31 coupe with fenders i have a stock spring i reversed the eyes on and a 4 inch drop model a axle and a stock 33 axle. will it be to low in the front with 6.50 16 and the drop axle? the backs just getting a t spring with a couple leafs renoved running 7.50s on the back. i can save the 4 inch drop axle for my coupster if i have to as it wont have fenders.

Well I have a 4" drop front axle, reverse eye spring, 205/70R15 tires (yah, I know...) -- you can see it in my avatar and I don't consider it real low in the front.

Re jalopy jokers post, the axle is a ch***is engineering 47 inch.

    edited to add recent photo.

Not a Model A but I used a model A front cross member instead of the 32 which gices it a extra inch drop..used a reverse mono spring and a 4" axle 5.60 x 15" tires,,it's not too low. HRP

No it won't be too low. That's the set up I did and it looks great. Just mind your high point driveways or short and high speed bumps. Think the lowest point of the car was where the front fender and running board met, was about 6"-7" off the ground.

With a 4" dropped axle and reversed eye spring, I would be surprised if the tires you want to use didn't rub the fenders. I'm running a 4' axle and reversed eye spring with one leaf removed. My tires are 145-SR 15's and they slightly rub the fender brace turning into a driveway. The tires are only 23" tall.

Your front tires are going to hit for sure. Less drop or smaller tire.

4:50 or 5:00 on the front, it is a Hot Rod after all.

4 in drop, revered eye, 15x6 rims 165. Basicly a vw tire. Axle a bit wide but no problems until a drive way approach with a incline on a sharp turn. But minor.

i like the size of my tires it doesnt have to be real low just want to get rid of the gap i guess ill ***ebly it loosely with the 33 axle and reverse spring and if its not low enough use the drop axle and reversed spring if its to low with that i can throw the stock spring back in to bring it up some. heres a pic of tge car now i just want the fender gap smaller.
