Hi folks. This looks to be a busy place. I have been in AZ since 1976. I retired 5 years ago and just play around now. Been into cars my entire life having had lots of Fords (Mustangs, 5.0's, 56 Bird, 63 406, 66 Gt350, SVT Cobras, etc.). Now I'm doing Chevrolets. Got a 69 GMC w/72 Chev front clip, 383 Smeding, Accel efi, and 700R4. For all of life's reasons, I haven't had a street rod since I was forced to sell my 40 Ford coupe when I deployed to SE Asia in 1962, and lately another rod has been on my bucket list. I am truly too broken down to do a build any longer, but I found a 49 Fleetline on the net that was pretty much done the way I wanted (5.3 Vortec, 4L60E, ifs, pb, ps, ac, etc.), so I looked it over and pulled the trigger on it ... delivered yesterday! Happy Father's Day to me. The 49 still needs a few things done, but they will just allow me to make it my own. Let's stay in touch!! Barry
