Has anyone used this brand of replacement fenders on a 56 GMC pickup (or chevy for that matter). when these were originally purchased the guy doing my bodywork got 57 fenders thinking the front original grille components off of a 56 GMC would fit them better? We were under the impression that 57 fenders were the same as 55-56 other than front grille area attachments. I called dynacorn and a fella told me the top rounded area of the fender is different as well as the line down the side is more prominent on the 55-56 ones (I ***ume he meant the reveal?). When you have stock original fenders off of a 55,56, 57 chevy pickup, aren't these all the same? Their aftermarket dynacorn doors fit 55-59, so shouldn't the fender tops that meet the doors be the same on each of these 3 year models? the top curved area has been a little hard to get matched to the door and the reveal is somewhat lower than the door on both sides, but the door gaps and cowl fit is pretty good, just would like to see what you guys have run into with this, if you have used these and what you thought about the 3 years being the same or not, thanks

Elpolockos shop did a AD truck build and stated that the good didn't fit and the doors were too narrow for a power setup. And those parts were aftermarket.

Can't speak to those exactly, but my experience and I bet most everyone else will agree getting repop Chinese sheet metal ALWAYS requires moving metal around to make it fit and look right. In some cases it takes cutting and welding. Try to get used original metal when ever possible, especially if you're paying someone else to do the body work because it will end up costing more than used original parts.

I do try to find original parts when I can, but It is pretty amazing that even 50's cars and trucks are hard to find parts for now. Sheetmetal is tough enough on these old trucks as most of the people used them just for that purpose. Also would have to find something local to drive and pickup.

I was happy with both front and rear fenders from Dyanacorn for a 55 Chevy P/U

These trucks didn't fit that great new. The new fenders I got for my truck took a lot of cutting and welding to fit.
