I know the core of the HAMB is about doing it yourself, but I don't trust my
Welding skills to fab up a frame and mounts to put my kid in a car done by me and go motoring down the road.
    I've got most the parts to do a gl*** 23 t with a 331/hydro matic (1950 caddy)
And would like to get the same stance as the "lighting bug" Von Franco did.
Does anyone have a recommendation they can give?
    Thanks!

If you're in the Torrance area, Starlight Garage can handle it. Hots Rods and Hobbies is another good choice in Signal Hill. My friend just tacks his stuff and calls in a professional welder.

If you have neither skill nor tools then i'd suggest getting a kit thing frame from speedway. The folks mentioned above i have no doubt are qualified and do excellant work but with the speedway thing you can bolt all thier stuff onto it.
Personally i don't care for speedway stuff but this might be a good way for you to go. Otherwise you'll be mocking things up and going back for each bracket welding etc

I want to stay away from the speedway kit. I have most the parts to get going. I can do the tack weld and take it to a local welder but want the frame built right. I've seen the speedway basic frame and a couple other shops frames but would like to work with someone to make sure I can get the stance right.

Good thinking, the extra effort will be worth it.
