Would you guys mind helping me with some opinions of value on this horn ring. Ultimately I will sell this for a family member and I want to get all I can for him, but yet be fair, whether it is a straight sale or that evil auction place. I know this part is rare, but it needs total restoration. The good is that it is 100% intact with no cracks or breaks at all. Would appreciate any input that you guys may offer. Thanks.....
that one will cost a bunch to restore. Usually, a bucks-up buyers spends on the best available, and they won't buy junk. A low budget guy will buy something in poor condition, but not for much money.
"Value" is kind of a tricky thing. There's no KBB for old parts, so you really just need to do a little legwork in researching before you list something. I sell a lot of parts myself, often two or three of the same item within weeks of each other, and RARELY do they ever sell at the same price. It comes down to a couple of factors; 1) How desirable is the CAR your part is from... not just the part. 2) How many keywords and how much information did you put in your listing? 4) Are there any others "like" yours listed at the moment? 5) How much is someone willing to pay for it? That last one is the biggie. A part is only worth the amount someone is willing to pay for it. I personally list parts with an opener set to the very least I would consider taking for it, and a Buy It Now of what I would HOPE to get for it. If nobody is interested and the auction ends without a bidder/buyer, relist it. Sooner or later someone will want that part more than you do. Good luck!
It's pretty rough but I believe if you could get a hundred bucks out of it,,it's gonna cost a bundle to repair. HRP
That being said, Item 321130827793... Keep in mind, that's the ASKING price, NOT what it'll sell for. I don't see HOW it would, it's only half there...
Limeworks offers a new one for 300 bucks. HRP http://www.joomag.com/magazine/Limeworks_Speed_Shop_Vol_5/0883180001339094703
I am not sure what the pad is.......There is a metal "cup" attached to the back of the center. There are either 3 or 4 screws holding it on.
