HAHA never mind, there they went! New wiring, all lights, dash, heater, wood bed, tank, sender, and tons of other misc stuff. People keep asking why, but why not? Save the old stuff for the ones that get it.

So, you still have the flat head 6? Is it a 4 speed or factory semiautomatic trans? Details, man, details! And I was expecting a lot more pictures.

    Isn't that a C-3? I thought a C-1 had the angled front door posts.

Oh yea, welcome to the HAMB. Gene

Hey Gene. You are right, sorry my info was a little scarce! It is a '55 C-1 pickup, with its original 270 cube polysphere V8. It sat many years at a kids house, his grampa left it to him, and the fool wanted nothing to do with it. Three on the tree trans, Preacher Steve on here talked me thru a rear end swap, which I will tackle soon.

I had a 54 C-1. Mine was suppose to have been the first factory built V8 truck in our area. Most of the good original stuff was long gone by the time i got the truck. I clipped mine with a Volari front suspension, dropped in a 360 with a modern 727 auto trans and drove the wheels off of it for 3-4 years (45,000 miles in 4 summers). then one day along came a 39 Plymouth business coupe I thought I had to have. My 54 went down the road to a new owner, and a couple years later, the coupe went away as well. Don't miss the coupe at all, but sometimes i wished that truck was still here. Pictures of my 54 just before it went away. Gene

Those older Dodge trucks are way cool..
Long ago I had a '49...black with a white stripe in the center hood section..
Man, I wish I had kept that one..
But that is a common story now... !

Gene, that's a cool truck. I see a few of them come around from time to time, and they don't really seem to bring a high dollar, which is fine. sometimes the "investors" are killing the hobby, buying stuff up that they can't work on. Side note, what rear end was in that truck? Not factory I ***ume? I need to swap the rear end out, and am kinda lookin for one currently.
