Who would steal bias-ply tires on rusty steel wheels? I'd worry more about certain headlights these days!

We use to play tricks on tire guys trying to balance wheels with stuff like golf balls and valve stems inside the tires, makes them pull there hair out trying to balance them. Pretty good idea about the paper info in them though!

We used to put the sticky weights on driveshafts. That was funny!
But be careful, I was fired from the world's largest independent tire dealer for pullin' a practical joke.

  14. If it were my story it would end with.........and the tire guy took the copy of my drivers license and stole my identity.

If he was that paranoid about having his tires stolen, don't you think he should have invested $10 in locking lug nuts? We aren't talking 24" dubs here, either.

From my experience the locking/keyed lug nuts dont really prevent anything (except mabey honest people from stealing them) cause all you have to do is hit a size larger impact socket over them and presto you can crank them off.
I kinda like the idea.. if you cant stop them at least try and make it so you get your shit back.

The only thing those are good for is keeping you from changing a flat when you lose the key.

man !!thats one hell of a good idea..as for the lock lugs you can also use a set of vise grips and they will come off

    my story.....

....a friend of a friend of a friend gave them to me and I put them on my car not knowing. Then, I get arrested for having stolen property

....or the dude sells them to me and forgets to take the baggy out, before the police can contact the fellow, they have beaten me with sticks.....

.....how did the guy that had the stolen tires leave the shop so quickly.....they had his tire off of the car

There's one thing that you can always count on when dealing with thieves...they aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer!

  26. Yep! If they were smart they wouldn't be thieves. If they were smart and thieves they'd hock what they swipe or not get caught in the first place.

The really smart ones don't get caught so therefore you don't know they're theives.
