after seeing the 62 lsr ford truck, i got to looking for 60 - 66 lsr chevrolet trucks, but can't find any, and yes i have used search in many different ways but still none. does anybody have any pics of one?
The pickup cl***es are kinda thin. Most folks are not as dumb as us. Who would take a C10 or Unibody and try to go fast!? Look at Tims Unibody thread, we had a red Chevy in our cl*** last year that was really nice. He posted a shot of it.
Getting away from the orginal question of the thread... There's the 981 Yellow Y block Ford, too. I think Tim had something to do with that, as well. Was that The Brick? As well, a couple Studes (just beautiful trucks IMO) and the red short bed (step-side) that Tman mentions, which sounded mean. There's always later models that come and go, too. I can't think of any older Chevy pickups for some reason. It may be that they're just not something I generally focus on, so I p*** them by. I'll keep my eyes peeled this year.
Charlie Burns owns the Yellow Brick. Tim built the motor and took his rookie runs in it. Charlie set a record in that truck which is being converted back to the street. His new truck is OT but with a crazy Yblock in it.
I believe I remember Norris on the salt every August that I've been there (6 yrs straight) - Brings several different sized bullets and re-sets his own records. Very cool truck!
That Blue Chevy is a guy from Boise Idaho. He drag races that truck the rest of the year with a friend of mine! Has a totally different drivetrain and swaps it out for Speedweek!
