I want to post something to HAMBERS about an open house Im having but didnt want to offend anyone if I shouldnt/cant. Thoughts?

Just as long as you don't post about the bling bling billet stuff... SRS. your signature isn't big enough? Your ad wont really do ya much good here anyway. You might get more business from the Club Hot Rod forum though.
NAh- - its up to my customer what they want - I just oblige Not really nterested in business ,more on the lines of letting peole know Im back in the area and to stop by to have fun and meet some other car guys and stuff.

LOL Denise I ride the fence on this one, but this Rich guy that you are trashing is part of the new ownership. And as funny as it is he beat down the thugs as you call them for thrashing you. Just watching from the top of the fence! Kind of fun watching***** fly from one side to the other when no one can see where that stuff is landing. I'm not picking sides, but I get the cold shoulder from both.
You don't have to explain to me who Rich is. I'm very aware of him and him of me. In fact we have met in person and discussed the whole situation. He did not "beat down the thugs", he slapped them on the wrist. Why he came over here and posted a few times is a mystery. Perhaps he's bored with his own site and wants to actually read and learn from the HAMB. Makes no difference to me, he's more then welcome. In fact I find it kind of amusing he's here....and posting and in fact so are all the "thugs" from his site. They quote stuff that goes on here all the time. They are all just as addicted tot he HAMB and it's GREAT content as everyone else is. The problem I have is with Rich's signature line. Coming on someone else's site and SPAMING your website IN HUGE LETTERS is uncool. How would he feel if Ryan or Frank decided to do the same over at his place? Just something for him to thing about. Oh yeah, "they" are watching this post like hawks. Look at the number of views compared to the average over here on the Q&A part. This post is averaging over 200 TIMES more views then normal. Maybe I'm confused. The SRS has new owners named Don and Rich. And Rich and***** are not the same person. I don't see how the new guys should be accountable for the old ones. But hey I'm just sitting up here trying to figure out what's what. Unless of course one was involved in old issues. But if your horring parts (in bussiness) all buyer should be fair game.
Yes, we are all aware of the NEW owners, what their names are and so forth. I have met, in person, the NEW owners and we had a very friendly chat. Does that surprise you?? They are not, nor do I hold them accountable for the past thread content BUT I do, and will, hold them accountable for what they allow now and in the future. If they want a drama and thug filled board, well I guess they can just continue in the direction it's headed. If they want a professional messageboard that will draw new "STREETRODDERS", that will hopefully spend money at their site, then things need to change over there and change fast. In a nutshell though, it's their business, not mine. I'm actually surprised***** was actually even able to sell that site. 5 1/2 years ago, when I started over there (yes, within the first 30 days of them coming online) things were hopping there, folks got along, lots of tech, and it was growing by leaps and bounds. It's currently a shell of it's former self. It really is a shame. It IS a shame so many THOUSANDS left. That so many thousands felt uncomfortable to post after the thugs took over and that folks were getting flamed left and right and***** and company did nothing about it.. No one could say anything without the thugs jumping down their throats. I'm sure they have gone back in the archives and looked at the different thread contents and posters and have asked themselves where did ALL these folks go. I'm sure they have been able to figure out that just about 6 real people are posting under a slew of different alises. Everyone else has....well almost everyone, not the sharpest cranyons in the box over there. It's really funny how many thugs over there talk about me like they actually know and have met me when in fact, Lost and Found is the only current "thug" over there that has AND the weekend we spent together at a show we really got along and had a good time. He even enjoyed himself cruzn around in Big Olds. It's a shame he "needs" to feel part of the gang over there and thrash me. If his wife knew she'd probley be ashamed of his words on the internet. Yes, I have met and hung out with his wife too. She seemed real nice. Poor, poor "Ronny", can't get over his spurned infatuation. Perhap I should send him a cookie so he can have a "taste" of what he's missing! (I crack myself up sometimes) almost forgot my "BIG' letters VIVA LA HAMB
OK I just saw something I didn't think was right. I post there, but the drama isn't mine. Many have been run off, at least it looks that way. Some even died. It's just another site that has a common interest, get what you can and ignore the rest. Not you persay Denise, that would be a waste of time. LOL Keep the Show Rolling!
Denise, we have actually not yet met; in fact I had just stepped away from our booth at Woodward Dream Cruise when you stopped bye. I have removed quite a bit of questionable material on our message board and will continue to do so. I will not tolerate abusive treatment of ANYONE on our site. As a matter of fact the content of this thread would have been deleted if it were posted on our site as soon as I became aware of it. In my opinion there is no place for personal judgement of others in a forum environment. We have some plans for the board in the future that I'm sure will be welcome improvements by the members. I personally have belonged to dozens of various car-related forums well before I became the GM at SRS & I enjoy all of them. The HAMB looked like a really cool group of car enthusiasts that build their cars the way I really appreciate & admire. To be honest I am not "bored" with our message board(no pun intended ) yet I am thrilled to become a member here. I love what I see and do not have any ulterior motives to be here. I completely understand that most folks here build their rides with recycled parts and I think that is really cool.... I do it and I get a pretty good discount! You sure have a funny way of making someone feel welcome.. You seem to want this to be a "us against them" scenario..... our board is NOT a entity that has rules against talking to, cruizing with or even buying parts from someone else. That last time I checked this was a free country. Anybody that wants to post on our board is welcome and I'm sure that the majority of the folks here on the HAMB feel the same way. I understand your point concerning my original font size..... I actually had a signature pre-formatted from other forums that I belong that are more "advertising-friendly" and it does not fit here and I apologize for that. I have since changed the font and size as you can see. I would love to have anyone here join if they would like. I honestly would not have a problem with Ryan or Frank advertising the HAMB on our board.
