1955 ford carb.

    I'm rebuilding a 55 ford carb. I'm going to use it on a 49 260 cu. engine. The main jets in the 55 are #56 the main jets in the 49 carb. are #51 should I use the 56 jets in the carb. thats going on the 49?. Thanks for any info. Slim.

    When migrating an O.E. carb from one application to another; generally a good idea to build the migrating carb to its original calibration to establish a baseline, and then tune from there.
