Can someone help me identify or confirm that this is a Ford '36 1/2 ton truck? For some reason it looks odd...the front grill, bed something doesn't look right but I am no expert.

    That is a 37, not a 36

The too-deep wheels and 'tennis shoe' tires have stretched its perspective...

35 and 36 will have a flat 1 piece windshield w/o the center strip

  7. Definitely a '37, as that was a one-year only cab, but doors will interchange with '35-'36, and '35 and '36 hood and grille will bolt up.

Ok, other than the windshield, everyone is saying its a '37, but WHY? These are one of those bodies that I have a hard time distinguishing.

  10. Yep Daytons on an otherwise nice truck. Well easily repaired I suppose.

    Nice truck.

The other obvious is the grille. A 37 grill has the bars going side to side and bulging out in a convex way while 35-36 go up and down. The 35 and 36 grilles are similar to each other ,but the 36 has a heavier look to it than a 35.

Nice truck, but those tires and rims need to go.

35, 6 and 7 cabs are different. 35 and 6 have flat winshields but they differ where the A pillar meets the cowl. 35 has a sharp line and the 36 has a smooth transition to the cowl. 37 split windhield. Hoods and grills different for each year. 35 and 6 grills look similar but 36 is much deeper and looks big. 37 horizontal bars and rounder. Doors all fit but I hear there are minor diffrences, not sure on that.
