Tire size and ww width for 1953 Buick

    I've been trying to figure out what would be the best tire size ie. h78 , 7.60 x 15 for my 53 Buick Super. Also, what would have been the most appropriate white wall width during this time period. Comments or suggestions are appreciated.

    Here are a few links that may help. If you do a search I'm sure there are many more.
    I just PMed some of the owners to find out what tyres they were using if the car looked right to me.

    I think a 2-3/4 to 3 inch WW looks great on the mid 50s Buicks. 215/75 seems to be a good size on a standard rim with no clearance issues. Im yet to sort tyres for mine but looking at recommendations from others here, will most likely go Diamondback.
