I've been trying to figure out what would be the best tire size ie. h78 , 7.60 x 15 for my 53 Buick Super. Also, what would have been the most appropriate white wall width during this time period. Comments or suggestions are appreciated.
Here are a few links that may help. If you do a search I'm sure there are many more. I just PMed some of the owners to find out what tyres they were using if the car looked right to me. I think a 2-3/4 to 3 inch WW looks great on the mid 50s Buicks. 215/75 seems to be a good size on a standard rim with no clearance issues. Im yet to sort tyres for mine but looking at recommendations from others here, will most likely go Diamondback. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=786682&highlight=white+wall+tires http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=663796 http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=194824 Ross
