With the Salina KKOA and Bonneville so close, it may be a challenge to focus on the August HAMB drags ( only about 26 days away).
I had so much fun last year, I wanted to help keep the excitement up - links to 40+ videos.
I didn't know many people last year, met Mike Cox at StrayKat this year, so I hope to meet some of you this time.

Hey Tom, still a spectator this year...sigh.
I can hand you wrenches if you need a pit go-fer
I don't want to hijack/clutter up this thread, its a long story,so if interested either PM me or I will buy you an adult beverage at the KKOA or HAMB drags, and we can chat.
    In 25 words or less,
I just bought another 57 Belair 2-door post sedan(#3), after going to the Des Moines Good Guys.
#1-no title, no engine, no trans, needs floorpan work and right rear quarterpanel.
#2-has KS title, engine, trans, runs, needs extensive floorpan work.
I am finishing up rebuilding the front suspension now.
Runs but not roadworthy yet - see link below.
#3-has KS title, engine and trans are unknowns-283( disassembled and needs complete rebuild, powerglide is on my garage floor. Floorpan work is done, but has been sitting out in the weather, so scotchbrite/rattlecan prime, wash/rinse/repeat.
I was talking with Porknbeaner today, and he said if I carry the engine and parts over to his shop, he will take a look to see what condition it is in - the serial# on the block in front of the passenger-side head is stamped with what appears to be F118F. I have not been able to decode it yet.

Here is #2 startup from Nov 2012.

Hey Tom, I can't wait to see the roadster that I've heard so much about. Are you using the 'glide that I built for you?

So I sent my e-mail over a month ago and haven't heard anything back yet. Sent another one a few days ago, still nothing. I know a guy who sent one in last week and got a response back in 2 hours. I guess this isn't a first come - first served kind of thing anymore? Is it a wait until everyone sends their shit in and if there's still room you can bring your stupid car? It's okay, I don't need to make plans or anything so I guess I will either stay home or spectate and save my sitting in the sun all day to make 3 runs for a different time. If my car is not welcome just tell me, I'm a big boy, I would just like to plan my life.

Are packets being mailed before? I sent in Payment and car info after approval few weeks ago. Just wondering.

  19. So I live in Ontario Canada. How long do you think it would take a 69 Superbee to reach Missouri at 120 miles per hour ? Just Curious. Checkin to see if I have enough time to get down there.

  20. Southern Ontario, that is.

If ya leave now I think 2 weeks is plenty of time... That car won't get in but you would make it there.

There was a notice posted on HAMB store main page that Ryan was out for surgery and would not be shipping until 8/1. Considering the last few posts, looks like he is healing nicely :D
Ryan, hope all is well and you are up and around.
