so many people are building motor mounts, trans cross members and front a arms and all those kind of things i want to do more of that stuff but am concerned about degree of motor, where the trany sits, and angles and degrees of front end, am i just over thinking this or is there alot to know about that stuff and if so is there any links on what to know about degree your motor should sit or degree of a arms etc anything with motor and front end, how far your motor should sit in relation to anything else, i would just like to know what i need to know if anything before i start cutting and welding

Wouldn't hurt to post a introduction as per the rules.

As for your question,,it's not rocket science but there are several things that you need to know,,it's not as simple as welding in the mounts. HRP

Yes there are many factors in motor angle, trans angle and I've heard a lot of noise about differential angle. A general rule of thumb is when dealing with carbureted engines the intake surface for the carb should be level. Notice the angle of it in relation to the intake port for the head? Not the same. So the motor will have a slight downward angle toward the rear of the vehicle. It is a bit of time and effort getting the car on level ground or establishing "level" on the car. Once that is achieved look at differential angle for the driveshaft. A few degrees can change a smooth drive to a noisy shaft or vibration. Once I get some pics I will post mine. A '51 merc with a s10 clip. 350 and a 142 blower. Motor sits low to clear hood and tight to firewall for rad and fan clearance. Also big factors in motor mount placement. Look at all the parts involved not just motor angle. I used a 69 camaro motor mount (motor side) and made my own frame side. I had a friend who is a guru help me through it. Don't get overwhelmed! Sometimes the first attempt is just that!

hot rod primer, i will do an introduction didnt realize that. i just read the link you posted and i will be more than happy to introduce myself and my experience.

mac man, thanks that helps alot, im not very knowledged on the mechanics and motor stuff even tho thats what my dad did my whole life i kinda geared more towards the metal fab, body work and i was always into art so i also got into airbrushing, so im a little scarce on knowledge when it come to motor angles and front suspension stuff, that helps alot i did not know that the intake surface was differnt than the port, i always heard that the motor need to b about three degrees when car is at ride hight, but like you said if you just level the intake surface than that will prob give you the 3dg that they were talking.
id like to see those pics that would b sweet

    thanks
