I know this is pushing the boundaries of the HAMB, but i have a customer with a 1966 F250. The truck is something he and his dad had restored back in the 80's at some point. Well his father p***ed and he is now looking to restore it again, but we are looking at lowering it. I am sure some of you are familiar with the twin I beam set up. We are looking to get rid of that. So does anyone have a good supplier for a good indipe dent suspesnion for it? Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Are you trying to keep the 8 lug? If so maybe a clip out of a C20 since they bolt in and would be a close fit in the ford. If you wanted to go low with it you could use the stock c20 clip and z the frame or use one of the clips from Jim Myers and use the 3/4 ton spindles on it. If you are converting to 1/2 ton, do a search, there is a shot pot of threads on clip swaps on these trucks. I run a widened s10 on mine. Or there is crown Vic, g body, early camaro, ect Jeff
http://www.nolimitparts.com/ definitely heavy duty enough for a truck, and the right width designed for the f100. its definitely what id get if i had the scratch. mat
If your just using it for a driver and not hauling anything and not worried about a heavy duty front end i would go with a mustang II and figure out a rotor set up for 8 lug or just switch it all over to 5 lug and use some original hubcaps.
