I'm in Omaha for some family shindig and while driving around the Big O I spot one really nice electric blue T-Bucket,then I'm driving down Pacific street and spy a '32 that looks like it was built for me.Finished off the morning with a black suede '40.The car scene seems to be just fine in Omaha.
Yeah, we're ok here. Local cruises almost every night in the summer with some great stuff to look at. The economy is pretty healthy here, freeing up a lttle extra money for toys.
When I was were in high school(late 70s through early 80s) Dodge street was one of the top cruising spots in the country.I've cruised Woodward,Sunset,Van Nuys,Central,etc...The cars I used to see around Omaha were fantastic.I need to come home more.
Have to say that Omaha and the surrounding communities have some nice old rides. Getting to the point of having to choose what events to go to as there are so many.
I used to work in Omaha fairly frequently, and really dug the car scene around there. Everybody else in the company would be turning around and trying not to be noticed when stuff in Omaha would come up, and this guy would have his hand up going ME, ME, ME!!!
I always attributed it to our cold winters and being bored,we'd work on our summer cars all winter long.I always had a winter beater that usually donated parts to my other ride.
