I have a 1947 Chevy pickup window regulator that rolls itself back up (in a hurry) due to spring tension. I myself have not worked with this regulator and I'm not sure of the issue, the spring is intact and not broken. Is it possible someone along the way has taken this thing apart and re***embled with the spring backwards or something? Any ideas are appreciated.

That spring must have a lot of tension on it to wind itself up,,be careful when you remove it. HRP

Not in backwards, just wound one turn too tight.
