Reminds me of some of the '60s show cars/trucks on the circuit. I think the 'Milk Wagon' was of the C cab/van type like your pic. And then there was the 'Beer Wagon', but it was a C cab flatbed. I can't remember the others, oh yeah, 'Paddy Wagon' was one.

There were a bunch, I wonder were they went.

  9. A C cab was the car that got me lusting after Hot Rods when I was but a wee lad. Still like them now. There's nothing wrong with you that building one won't fix.

I wish. It's just so extraordinarily 70s, it smacked me in the piehole with my childhood. All the swoopy lines of C-Cabs pulled me in when i was a dinky and dopey...guess that never really leaves you.

And it's a big block, too.

Cliffy was eyeing up one of those down near Milwaukee, a complete car parked since the 70's with all the 70's ******** on it, Guy wanted 5K but was negotiable.

Alright, let's think about this juxtapose for a moment....

On one hand, you have "traditional", pertaining to time-honored orthodox doctrines. We're all doing it, so now it's the new way, just ask Foose or try to find some cool old flathead stuff for cheap.

The way formerly know as "new" (wheeltubs, ugly monochrome paint, overdone and undriveable engines) is now old. The 70's stuff is ancient, as br*** coach lights and chromed Jag rear ends went out with wide ties and Safari suits. So in a strrange way, this old cornball **** is the time honored way of doing stuff back when I was a kid.

Where does this put us? Well...yeah. I did have a few beers. Probably more than a few.

Maybe this would help. Do you know how goofy you would look riding in that thing? Stick with a model kit.

I was responsible for some bad taste in the 70s...............I once shot lace on the side of a very nice 70 Chevelle SS..............Now THAT was wrong.............I still have nightmares.

Wish I had my hair back tho'

I can say I never shot lace on a chevelle, But I miss my hair too.
I was thinking more along the lines of the metal. Look at (lets see here what went REALLY wrong) a 71 buick Skylark. not bad if yer into muscle cars. then look at a 73 Buick Skylark.

Which G.M. ***** authorized THAT abortion?

or even the customs. the 60's stuff is probably my favorite. you get to the 70's and alot of stuff got real ugly. and not just paint job ugly. polished Br*** ugly. fake wood paneling ugly.
for lack of a better term, BOOGIE VAN UGLY.

I need Caffine, all this made sense a minuite ago...

  25. Couple sheets of plywood, a box of screws and a jig saw and you could build one too!.....

    BOOGIE VAN UGLY!LMFAO!
I do like the c-cabs though, along with wicked trikes-anyone remember the Meatloaf 'Bat Out of Hell' trike? My uncle used to build them in his room full of blacklight Black Sabbath posters and 'incense' smoke-incense, yeah that's the ticket!:D
