I wondering if there are any issues in using an 8.8 1999 Ford explorer rear in my 1/2 truck. It has disc brakes and suppossed to be 59.5" which is a match for my 46. I've seen lots of ford guys using them and want to make sure when I put an IFS in it that I'm not limiting my bolt pattern options. Thanks for any feedback in advance. Pondering this at junk yard now:)

They fit nice, put one in a friends truck a few years ago. Had to change spring pads and fab shock mounts. The driveshaft he had worked with a U joint swap.

-->Wiping my forehead,, I've been back and forth on this as every other post is good, and bad depending on what site you go to,, I have never don one of these, but ready to dive into it,, I found multiple posts about getting perchs from online,, and keeping the axle, tranny and everything at the same angle etc. Are there any issues wth it being offset and not fully centered? Is it Ok to just leave this way? I measured to the back of the backing plate,, about 54,, It should be original, as it has the torque tube,, need to verify this as I saw that they should be hub to hub around 59.5-60. Here is the truck and the style on the 51 I want it to look like

Mines offset 2" and no vibration problems . I made my own perches , the most common perches available are 3" diameter. But the 8.8 is 3 1/4 and I used a 3 1/4 hole saw in some 2x4 tubing. I have an extra set I made is 2x6 tubing , there to tall for me but would lower your truck pretty good but are set up for 2" wide springs. Don't think I've seen another post from Canton before .
