Anyone else ever have problems getting caps to fit a stock wheel? I'm trying to get some lancer caps on a 53 ford. They keep popping off right as I'm about to get the all the way on. They are the right size so I just figured I'd ask on here. Like I said I get them 3/4's of the way on and the caps just pop out.
    Thanks!

Are these brand new re-pops? If so i have the same problem, and my one hubcap fits loosely. And at one point came off while i was driving.

Some are hard to install than others,it seems you need two sets of hands.

Are the tabs too long? HRP

Some wheels have a shape that makes them harder to pop a cap onto than others too. What I generally so is sit on the floor with my two feet holding the bottom of the cap in place and then I pound the top of the cap on with my fists (gloves help to keep you from damaging your hands or the cap edge). Once is starts to seat you can go all the way around the cap and seat it.

Sometimes you have to rebend the metal tabs to get a tighter or more loose fit too.

Yes and take them off, but now that I figured them out I should be alright.
