Like Grandpa's truck. Keep on truckin with it and have fun. You're at our 1/2 way stop between the Florida boonies and Illinois. Truck into the rt 72 BBQ joint off I-65 and sit a spell.
well neighbor, like your truck. when you gonna paint it? lol just kidding looks good just the way it is.
Yeah...very cool lookin' truck...a few more pictures would be great. Man I got kinfolk all over Athens, Huntsville area. Spent lots of summers there as a kid...my favorite uncle would take me out street racing with him back in 1963, 1964. Ha...you posted a couple pics while I was typing. MUCH better pictures. Interior is way cool and I'm lovin' the patina.
That is a helluva good looking truck. The more photos you post the more that I like it. The fact that your Grandpa bought it new and used it for years just makes it that much cooler. Looks like fun to drive for sure.
Like the way you have updated it, the beauty rims look great...yeah, don't paint it, keep the redneck look, like it!
296, what the hell is a redneckl look? most of the rednecks around here drive brand new trucks.....they might live in a shack but theres a $50,000 truck in the yard..lol sad but true..
You're right, sad but true...it is what the moonshiners drove, which is where this truck supposedly came from...rednecks drove the life out of their trucks, but with bailing wire and tape they kept them running...that's the look he is trying for -- maybe some other fake rednecks might take a hint from him and get an old jimmie or whatever...can't stop hoping!
Thanks I love the moonshiner look that what I'm going for. It might not ever see painted. But I love driving the wheels off of it.
Welcome to the HAMB and damn nice truck and I'm sure Grandpa is proud of you for bringing it back to life.......
Great truck, definitely worthy of a southern fried man and greetings from a redneck in exile. I was born n' reared in Ala-by-god-bama. How real? My grandmother was named Bama! All that truck needs is a 302" GMC with a few goodies on it and a three-pedal ******. Saw a beautiful '37 in a show in the northwest, but it had a slush box. His money, his build, his decision, but by god man, have some balls - it's a truck! jack vines
Haven't been on in awhile thought I would add a few new photos. Did a few changes for better or worse who knows. but I like them.
Rucker I love your truck its awesome piece of art......You and the guys need to come to Gadsden this Friday for the cruise in....Greybeards crew will be there
Question. The "General Motors Trucks" emblem on the hood is one that I do not recall seeing before. Was it used for multiple years or the specific year of this truck? Nice looking truck with a great history.
After sitting all those years the gas in the tank will probably smell awful, BUT! the hidden tank could hold another great surprise!
Hey Rucker that is a cool truck. My buddy Rooter1940 on here has a 40 GMC I love those trucks. We take our trucks to Frog Follies every year in Evansville In. the last weekend in August. It Would be a drive for you but would love to see it in person.
