I posted these this morning before we had our adventures of today. Evidently they didn't go.

So let's start over.

We were invited for breakfast by Keith & Jen at their home, had a nice meal and a wonderfull chat.

Then we got to the good stuff, this 52 is their current driver and has been seen all over the Pacific Northwest. Neat little car.

First thing we saw was a cub bear, we weren't quick enough with the camera though. Short time later we spotted these 2 Mulies in the ditch, they were trying to cross the road but got spooked by the cars and always went back to the ditch.








They finally gave up and went back across the field.

Mt Robson was out in all of her glory today, many days she is completly socked in and not visible at all.

Don't know the name of this mountian but loved the snow pack on the top.

There are pictures I have seen that show these Glaciers right on the edge of the water, now there are trials that lead up to the face of them.

The gray jay, noisy little bastards, they weren't afraid of people at all.





We didn't see any cougars at the lake but did see a few at the bar later.





A couple of shots of our last view of the Canadian Rockies as we head down the hill to Calgary.

Today was quite a day, we started out not expecting to see anything worth taking pictures of so we didn't have our cameras ready when we saw this.

Helicopter hovering in amongst the power lines with a guy sitting on the skid, we assume that he was either inspecting or getting ready to ride the wire





I see this every year on the way to B'ville at the Cargill and Morton salt companies plants. I never expected to see something similar in
Saskatchewan










We stopped for Gas in Moosejaw and I pulled up in front of the restaurant to go in and pay for the gas.

Maggie came out and got in the car, I got in and put it in reverse and Bang, this happened to the left front wheel.

As you can see it has a happy ending though. We will have to Banzi home tomorrow, it's about 14 hours but that is doable.

Bob, that guy in the chopper was hot sticking, they work on LIVE wires from the air!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

We did the AlCan back in the early 60s in a coral and white 57 Chevy 2 door. Went from Waco to Anchorage, then back to Ft. Smith Arkansas every summer for four years. A week in the back seat with my sister was made tolerable by the presence of our dog. Your trip rocks.

 

I just panicked when i saw "that" wheel I thought it was my repair at first. I'm glad you to are ok!


Man what happend... That was tight 2 weeks ago same with that wheel bearing.

 

Been reading with much interest. I hope you got home OK. My wife and I are leaving Saturday for a cruise to Alaska. We'll be stopping in Juneau, Skagway, and Ketchican. Even though I've read every I don't remember the locations you stopped at. Do you have any thoughts on must see spots in those areas? How about car related stuff (I don't want to go into withdrawal!).

Well we have reached the end of this epic saga. We left Moose Jaw at 10:am and 1000 miles and 16 1/2 hour later we were in our driveway. Totally uneventfull trip, car worked great, Thanks Brent. Did not take a single picture that shoud be posted. Besides I'm tired of doing that anyway.

Now comes the chore of getting it ready for the Bonneville trip on Wednsday morning.

Gotta go through my receipts and see where I got that adjustable A arm. The strut rods I don't know about yet, seems like my only option is to replace them with a tublar lower A arm.

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this thread and all of those who helped along the way even if it was moral support.

We had a blast and I am already planning the next one, stay tuned.

you got just enough time to swap out the front suspension for all new parts (wait you have almost done that) before leaving for Bville.

 

It's been epic.

We travelled about 8000 miles, but took a bit longer to do it.

He should know who sells stronger stuff that will actually fit an OE crossmember.
