    hello readers,

i have my 57 chevy truck frame rolling and finished painted. ordered a body to frame mount kit. came with two 3/8 bolts, 2 two 1/2 bolts, 2 lock washers, 2 regular washers, 4 nylon nuts, 2 rubber shims, 2 regular shims ,two one inch metal sleeves, 2 round donut shape bushing no bigger then an oreo cookie, and two square rubber bushing about the same size as the doughnut rubber bushing.

since i got my truck a basket case the cab had been taken off and swapped to another frame (same year/model/series/etc) and never was bolted down. i lined the cab up to the mount brackets on the frame and was ready to go. except i have no idea of the order the parts go in and which bolts or which rubber mounts go in the front or rear.

if some one has redone their second series chevy pickup mounts or someone who knows, could you please assist me. thanks.

Yep 65panelrat : ). I just did this on mine. An assy manual helps but here goes.

On the rear frame mounts place your square rubber piece with metal sleeve placed inside on top of frame so the sleeve goes down through the frame. place cab on top of that piece. Take your round donut and place underneath the frame mount so it goes around the other mount and sleeve that is coming down through the frame. Place your bolt, lock washer and big washer through all of that from underneath and thread into the cage nut in the cab. If your cage nut is gone use the nut supplied in the kit.

Up front place your rubber shim on the frame then your metal shim. Bolt goes down through the cab through frame with lock washer and nut on underside of frame.

I have .pdf of these from my asm manual, if you like I can email to you.
