Somewhere in the Munich Airport I was shuffling between flights, buying last minute chocolates and snacks before the long flight back home. Yea, it's really cool to find car related mags overseas. About 25 years ago I built a '57 Olds 98 hardtop. I attended the KKOA event in Gettysburg, Pa. and the car was photographed as an attendee at the show. The '57 photo appeared in Rodder's Digest, I think that was the mag, and I bought a few copies. Later that year I was in Germany on business and stopped at a newsstand and saw that issue of Rodder's Digest and picked it up. To my surprise everything was written in German. I didn't speak much German and I tried to tell the vendor that the car in the mag was mine, but he only cared about selling magazines. But it was neat to be in a foreign country and find an American hot rod mag with a picture of my turquoise green 1957 Oldsmobile "98" hardtop. BTW the '98 was about a foot longer than the "88" Olds.
Man I just got stuck on their website for about an hour! Lots of interesting stuff and reading the translation from German is interesting also. They have a pic of a car in an off road race in Russia and it looks like a 37 or 38 Chevy Coupe.
that three wheeled thing looks like that one that guy found in that yard and people looked for it for years on here and found out what it was.
Cool ****! I like the shot from inside the brick floor garage looking out with the red racer outside.
