    Bob;
    When you were out here having your hip done, I mentioned a
    39 deluxe coupe for sale in Redding. It is still on C/L. Go to Ca. craigslist then Redding, hit cars and trucks and type in 1939. He has two phone # 530-229-1932 and 530-241-8073.
    I know it is a long shot, but nothing ventured nothing gained.
    Last I heard about my yellow '40 deluxe coupe was that it was in Reno in 1970. Anyone know anything?

    Hey Bob I just sent a friend of mine a text. He is a big wheel for the State Patrol. I asked him if there is anyway to search for it through him or any other state agencies. He said he will give it a try by using your name! Cross your fingers and if he is able to I'll get him in touch with you!

    Colorodo was mentioned earlier, mine came from there, but never had the holes and was completely stock.

  16. Dont give up hope ever. I found mine after 26 years. The people i sold it to still had it. They never titled it and only drive it 2.5 miles. I found it owned by the son in south dakota. Good luck

  22. I don't think this will help much, but 2 years ago there was one at the Springfield, Mo. swap. It was red with a bbc stuffed in it and rearend tubed. It had the gauges in the same place but one was fuel pressure and the other was vacuum. It was in the car coral. I dont have any info on it but maby someone else remimbers it.

    Yours has been gone a lot longer than one of mine. It took me a few years but I found a chopped 37 Chevy sedan I had sold by using the wanted section of Craigslist. The guy I sold it to had painted it and sold it to a couple in Connecticut but did not remember names or where it went.
    I posted the most recent picture I could get with a description in different Connecticut cities. Lots of contacts that were dead ends.
    Finally someone spotted the car at an ice cream shop and it had the one of a kind suicide doors and hand stitching on the door panels from when I built the car. I still did not know who the owner was but I was able to repost my ad in an area near where the car was spotted. The following summer someone helped me find and talk with the owner and about a year later he made it worth my time to come see the car. The day I saw it after 11 years was also the day I brought it back home.
    Posting your information near the last confirmed place the car was spotted may help in tracking it. Being gone as long as it has does not help. It could be an entirely different build by now with little or no evidence of its past.
    Good luck. It would be a great story if you find it some day.

  24. That's how I found mine. Was told that the car had been seen in a parade two years in a row. Put a picture on Craigslist's cars for sale section with the heading of "Looking for this car". The owner called me after a friend of his told him that his car was on Craigslist. Brought it home soon after.
