I would put on Blackwalls without the trim rings. With the black paint and the flames it gives the car a cool and sinister look. If it must be WWs, I would take 2'' or 3'' WW with some nice hubcaps for a more crazy late 50s/early 60s look.
Sorry I'm late to the party [works a bi**h]. How about a comprimise between the two such as 1 3/4-2" what we used to call Caddywhites found on late 80s- to early 90s big GMs. I've got them on my OT stocker and like the look.
can some one photo shop the trim rings out of cherryDeuce's pic with the blackwalls for me please? I am leaning toward keeping it as it is with the narrow whites bit want to see blackwalls with no trim rings.
Don't have my Photoshop computer with me so I did the best with MS Paint (torture)... Hate givin my opinion on your ride but since you've asked...not digg'n the all black no rings CHP look, the rings break it up and keep the focus on the car and paint which is your intent I'd imagine. Apologies for monkeying around with the Black walls earlier, it derailed your intent...If a white wall is your preference then the way I count it so far is: WW- 18 NW- 7 Either way your modor hardtop Buick is a *****in ride, I'd love to cruise her. Post a pick when you put 'em on.
Id go either wide whites or blackwalls. Those skinny white walls just remind me of all the old farts with their 1990s Cadillacs from when I worked at a tire shop.
