i am trying to locate former members of the innocents minneapolis car club. the innocents were formed in 1956 in southeast minneapolis minnesota with local hotrodders. my father was a member of the innocents. i have started facebook group for the former members and their families. the facebook group is titled "innocents minneapolis car club" milners32@msn.com
Sorry I can't help you with your search for former members but I can help you and Bill (Bullet Nose) with a picture of the original pattern used to make ten plaques that were probably painted black back in 1956. These plaques were made by the Speed Gems company out of Minn./St. Paul. Enjoy, Dennis PS, If you need more plaques give me a call. 508-248-1555
i am still looking for former members, original jackets and plaques. interested in any other information or stories of the innocents minneapolis hotrod club.
Don't mean to hi jack your thread here, but since you know of the innocents then do you know anything of the St. Paul Relics? I know they became the twin city knights-it was my dad who changed the name in 82. Well the knights are no more (long story) and I'm curious about RELICS plaques and jackets etc if any one knows anything please message me thanks!
glad to hear you want a plaque and jacket from your dads old car club. i sure have been lucky that o'brien truckers still has the original pattern for my dads plaque that was made in 1956. relicsandrods.com is a good site to see plaques and some jackets.
How about the Relics of Bloomington? This is a picture of the original pattern that Speed Gems used to make their plaques. PS The only Knights I seem to have from Minn are the Minnesota Knights, Hastings and the Northern Knights, Ely, Minn.
That could be it, but I don't think city of Bloomington was developed when the relics were founded. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
good luck with your search. ask this question on the minnesota street rod association facebook group. you have to join the group to post in it.
to this day the only information i have found was from members that my dad is still in contact with. would be interesting to hear from others that were in the club or knew of it.
Thanks for the reply, I talked to the old man and he said it was the Bloomington knights. He changed it to twin city knights because a. No one lived in Bloomington and b. they weren't relics (but now they're all at or near retirement age!). Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
