Customs What color to paint steelies?

So I'm getting ready for the drags and I will be running bare steelies since I'm changing to different wheels and don't have any 15" caps right now. I can't decide what color to paint them though, the choices are:

I know it's my car and my choice but I'm having a hard time deciding.

 

White might look cool. and if you hate it you can always paint over it again.

 

Wow. I looked at the picture & thought " that roof color should piss off all the Tri 5 purists". But then I stopped myself because my "48 Ford PU is primer that we call "Razzberry" and it has pink wheels. That might be too much pink in your case, I would go with chrome reverse or black with spider caps and thin whitewalls.

 

Body color, can't vote cause it aint on there.

I'll second that..and loose the rings, makes the wheels look too "busy".

Black with the whitewalls was a popular combination way back when. A light color would make it too busy IMO. Nice car too.

 

Whatever color you want there's no rule here

I have the caps and rings off right now and my current wheels are (**** tastic) black and it looks pretty sinister. Heres a shot with rings but no caps, I don't have a pic of just solid black steelies right now because it rains like 24/7 here.

Redo32- You're totally right about the color ******* off the Tri-five purists, I know one and his ******* were in a bunch before I even pulled the car out of the booth. I live it! I drive a tri-five but generally can't stand tri five-pursits, they are idiots in my opinion.

I love how the pink pisses people off, it amuses me. Some people just take everything too seriously.

 

When I was a kid my Dad had a '55 Pontiac station wagon. I don't know what the color name was, but it was forest green with same interior. He got into an accident that required a lot of the car to be repainted. He thought, hell, if I'm gonna have it painted I might as well do it in pink! It was like 1956, remember...
So it was pink on the outside and forest green for an interior. My mom killed him when she saw it.

 

Doesn't look like he would follow them even if there were.

 

tHE car looks like ****, paint the rims green then, so you could be more amused. What a waste of a cool car.

 

I vote match the roof. Without trim rings it shouldn't look too busy.

Rules are made to be ignored, no one that followed rules never made history.

 

It's just paint man, chill. It will be a different color next year after I block it again anyway.

That's what I was thinking. It's not as if you painted the bumpers or tubbed it or something. Posts here with stock early Fords will get a dozen posts suggesting a chop and channel with nary a blink, but paint something pink...

I love pink too.. Check out my old 52 Chevy in my albums. It's obvious this guy is just a *****! F*ck the douche bag! I kinda dig it and I fN hate tri 5's (except knarley g***es or 2LBT clones)

 

My love for pink has nothing to do with cars.
