I saw a 32 ch***is sell for extremely stupid money. I think it was like 200,000 or something. I guess somebody showed somebody. I always wondered how that worked out

LoL......I bet the buyer messed up his decimal point. $58.02 is probably what they meant to bid. LoL.

Didn't put in a decimal point is my guess. Speedo will be put up for sale again with a disclamer about a flake buyer before. And after the seller fights with Ebay on their percentage of the alleged selling price.

I was going to suggest that some poor SOB thought they were bidding in Swedish Krona but that's still a lot of money. Check out the bid history, Someone bid it up to $5,702.00 from $76.80 before being outbid.

Somebody had to bid against that person to get the bid that high. If you just forget the decimal, it will just go to the next price level.

So, I have no idea what happened there. There's another one listed at $25 right now. :)

    Gotta speedo?

I really am looking for one, I broke the needle on mine, and I don't think they're being reproduced.

  16. How does that happen? For the price to go so high, doesn't there have to be someone bidding against them? Are there really 2 people out there willing to pay that much???

My guess is two fake bidders screwing with the seller. Bet it gets relisted.

There were 8 bids by the losing bidder, and 4 by the winning bidder. It took a sudden jump from $76 to the two crazy bids at the very end. I doubt it will sell, as they either were goofing around, or just stupid.

winning bidder probably bid 10000 just to make sure they would win it no matter what, he just didnt count on the "0" feedback deadbeat bidding that crazy number. I used to have a lot of problem with "0" feedback kids bidding and my cars and had no plans to pay, now I get contact info or their bid gets canned.

    That's exactly what it is.

  24. so, one guy bids the $10K just to make sure he get's the part, then some *** or the seller runs the bid up ( through his buddy or another e-bay account) just to see how far he can go?

    can this happen?

  25. It's a shame what's happened to ebay.

    Wild, wild world of eBay!

Can anybody tell me what the diameter of the hole in the stock dash is for one of those gauge clusters? I have a mid-50's Metro dash that would just about fit in a Model A. Seems like the Ford unit would be about the right size for this dash.

    Thanks, *****6
