Anybody ever put a 60 Mercury Monterey grill in a 60 Impala or Bel-Air? I have the grill and bezels but, this custom fit has me stumped? May have to sell the grill.

Sorry we did this seventeen years ago, I'm sure that I forgot some details……We mounted
the grill using the rear headlight buckets and made a bottom bracket to support the middle
section of the grill. If I had to do it over I would mount the grill a little higher in the grill
shell. I think the gap is too big between the hood and the top of the grill. The grill sticks
out further then most because of the rear headlight buckets. Probably looking at adjusting
the grill later….. If you have questions or need additional pictures just let me know. This
will at least get the post a rolling along.....

    Here is mine.
The tricky part is the hood latch.

straykatkustoms - did you have to narrow the grille to make it fit, if so how much?

You can tell how much we took out by looking at the two center grill bars, they are a little
bit closer then the rest of them. It has been too long ago to remember how much we removed.
If you mount it without the back headlight buckets you will be able to place it back further
    inside the grill opening.

Flt-blk Looks like it should be there, Very kool!

Thanks that helps, I see you angled the grill out and were able to keep the hood latch and center brace.
