    Hi all,
I would like to swap my stock rear end out for an 8.5 Chevy 10 bolt. I have a chance to get an 84 chevy truck rear that is the perfect width for a steal .However I think these are 5x5 lug and my wheels need 5x4.75. What are my options for this?
Also I have a ring and pinion for a 70-81 10 bolt car rear , will this fit in the 84 chevy truck rear?
    Thanks Hambers!!

dont think the gears will interchange. pull axles & have them drilled to4.75 or run adapters

I will have them drilled I think. Adapters are pricey. I do want a 2nd gen camaro or firebird rear end but just havnt found one for the right price yet. Thanks for the help.

Researching right now what the difference is between car and truck rears (8.5 inch ). Ring and pinion interchangeability .
