One month ago today Maggie & I took this picture at the Artic Circle on the Dalton Highway in northern Alaska. It was cold and raining and the road was a mess as you can see by the condition of the car but we had done it, we had driven our custom from Wisconsin to the Artic Circle.

The contrast is today. This picture was taken about an hour ago and it is bright and sunny out, the temprature is in the mid 90's the car is relatively clean even though it has put on almost 12,000 miles since June 19th.
What a difference a month makes.

What a difference a month makes. I didn't know whether I was gonna be able to make this trip from Wisconsin after getting back from our Alaska Adventure or not but a couple of nights work and a tire and wheel change did the trick and the old girl has made her 10 trip to Bonneville.

    Link to our Alaska trip.

There are even a few of my new Alaska HAMBer friends here for the event.

Truly amazing. I would like to do something like this someday - but I will probably need to get a divorce first.

Awesome! Is it worth it to go to speed week for only 1 day? Thinking of checking things out there on Tuesday. I loved your Alaska trip.

With that many miles I'm thinking You and the Mrs. now have flatter butts than Nebraska I-80 west of Lincoln

Hey there all you HAMBERS who get your car out a few times during the summer to go to a local cruise and think you're really doing something..................PAY ATTENTION here!! Here's proof these cars can be driven HARD and have fun with and still be attention getters! You won't die if it gets dirty or breaks, just fix it and move on! Bob K is living my dream!

Bob, Congrats on another chapter with Maggi and the Chevy. One of these days you should take a compression check on the 292. I'm thinking you musty have the rings seated by now.
