I think you are all over looking the fact that he says it is ready for paint. The mans time is worth something. Just think how nice it would be to bring something home that is ready for paint. Dont mind the bondo flaking out of the lower passenger door. He meant for it to be like that.

I got $50 that says I can brake the welds of of that front end with a crescent wrench!!!

I agree with a previous post. Some people should not be allowed to own a welder.

I can't believe that some poor souls are actually bidding on that heap, must be the seller in a bidding war with himself.

And WTF is that pipe next to the drivers side shock a flag pole holder? I don't like F-1s without fenders at all, and I thought they quit doing ACID test.

I can see Decatur IL from my house. I am 15 miles from there.

I had some guy tell me about his "truck like mine" that he was building and he described it. That has to be the creation he was talking about. At least he got it running and driving. That is better than a lot of folks.

I have no idea who Ollie Runyan is either. But I don't get out much.

Central Illinois the rat rodding capital of the world. Who needs california and florida when you have all of us in the Greater Decatur area.:D

You could part it right back out on ebay and still get some decent cash out of it. BUT, the thing is, I'm willing to bet he has some super-high reserve on the car. He sees some slightly more tasteful "rat rods" sell for stupid amounts on ebay, so he probably thinks since he's got a '32 grill shell in it, it's the holy grail of "rat rodZ". Anyway, I'd go out on a limb and say the reserve is at an ungodly $5k or so. Side bets? I think I'll email him and see if he has a "buy it now" price just for laughs.:)

Plowboy, could I get you to go check it out for me?
I'm bidding on it, and I want to know if I'm going to get ripped off or not.

Tingler, I just teleported over there, looked at it, and yes you are getting ripped off. Stop bidding immediately. If you insist on buying it, stop by my house and do a big old nasty burnout. (if it can without falling apart)

    Yes it does....

Angle iron front frame holding the suspension ?

    Fence pole wishbones ?

An old muffler for a gas tank ?

It looks like when McGyver shoots sparks with the stick welder and a quarter for a filler rod.

Jeez Louise....that's one nasty POS, and dangerous.

(Runyan used to build stock & sprint car race engines back in the mid 80's in Decatur, don't know if they still do)

As for the metal pipe on the drivers side.....I think its suppose to be a bumper. Its welded to the frame. Haha the longer you look at it the more stuff you find.....like a game. Someone should try and send the guy the link to this forum.

Geez. Is that a Stude cab? What a screw up of what couild have been a great frame to start with. Front axle looks like from a truck with leaf springs. I see a complete waste of some really great parts. Too bad they met togther in this mass of misdirected mig-welded metal.
