Has anyone ordered tires on line ?
Tire Rack seams to be the cheep-est at $119 for a 31 x 10.5 x 15 ($238 for two) with shipping at $62.56 for two.
Summit is $133.97 each and no shipping.
    Anyone used Tire Rack?

    Tire Rack is $238 + $62.56 shipping for 2 tires= $300.56

    Summit is $133.97 each x 2 with no shipping = $267.94

Just a guess, but isn't Summit cheaper ?

  3. Considering Summet is less expensive call and check what the shipping would be, HRP

Summit may have a shipping charge on large freight items. Call them and see if the tires would be free. Or find a dealer for Tire Rack so you can go pick them up and not pay shipping.

A lot of buddies use Tire Rack. They ship fast.

We have access to a shop with mounting and balancer for free. Summit sometime gives mounting vouchers to off set costs....

Yes, got them the next day, they have a warehouse 60 miles from here.

Also bought tires from Summit, next day, they are a little further away, both easy transactions

  12. Tyre Rack are an OEMR wholesaler. They're good, not to worry.

Another vote for tire rack...great company, fast shipping, and returns not a problem if you happen to order the wrong size like I did. Never bought tires for any of my hot rods but all the OT tires come from TR.

I buy from Tire Rack, good company & they are only 20 miles south of me.
If you are shopping price, try Tire Buyer .com, free shipping but charge sales tax.

I think that even though Summit is offering free shipping right now, if you run tires through the shopping cart it will show up with a $ 8.00 charge per tire for oversize.

Tire Rack is to OT tires what Coker is to old car tires.

Fantastic company, great people and knowledgeable. I just ordered some Continental DWSs from them for my OT Jag.

Except that Tire Rack doesn't rip you off on price or (implied) quality. Any Q's can be answered either in the forum by users, or the sales/tech guys. & if they don't have it, they'll tell you, maybe suggest something close, or thank you for checking. I've used them for ~ 15yrs off & on. When they had what I wanted, it was best price & kick-ass service - no BS &/or runaround. Continue to use them as needed. Think I've used Tirebuyers & Nationaltirewarehouse, but would have to look at receipts. FWIW: I won't buy bias-ply anything. Quit doing that in the early 70's & never looked back, so these places may not help you much.
