I picked it up at a swap to use on the back of my 29 banger pick up project and it doesn't have any ford script on it, but has gl*** lense with a snap ring to hold lense in and guessing maybe later 30's or newer truck or????? Guess I don't know when the gl*** lenses went away, but thought with it having the commercial look....it would work and not have the chrome flash, since I will be using the commercial (painted) grill shell instead of nickel or chrome.
Does anyone know with the gl*** lens and snap ring to hold it in instead of screws put any kind of date on it?
Model T lamps are smaller than that one. The snap ring retainers were used in the T Ford era and on many commercial vehicles of many makers from then into the modern era.
1924 & 1925 chevrolet used that type of tail light but had Chevrolet Superior impressed into the body - you often have to remove the paint to expose it. Your tail light looks a little deeper in the body though.
