It's alive!!!!

Finally......maiden voyage last weekend. Just got the fenders in primer so we threw them on and took it to the highway. Runs down the road at 70mph really well. Thanks to everyone on the HAMB, Bruce Lancaster, Trent Knight, AlbuqF-1, Wheelkid, Ryan for giving us this forum, etc. Everyone has been a huge help!

Oh nice, I'm envious. I want one of these trucks so bad but I don't have the time, patience or money to put into it right now. Gotta say, every time I see one on the road I get an ear to ear grin. Hope you're enjoying it!

A T5 would be nice also, at 70mph with 3.73 gears it's pretty wound out.

Thanks for all the rest of the compliments everybody. We're pretty excited, my brother and I tore into this thing with my Grandpa in the '90s(he had purchased it new in '51), but he p***ed away in the middle of the project and we didn't touch it for quite a while. Now we're finally getting close to being finished.

 

We took a first ride in a 48 truck last night. That is fun! Yours is better, though.

Thanks Jimmy, love the wheels but I should've added more offset to the rears. I might order two more from you this winter.
