    not a damn thing..

took the little hot rod out for a spin Saturday,

hung sheetrock in Mrs. 60's studio,
(converting a two car garage space into a place for her to make art)

and CGkidd stopped by Sunday for a visit

  3. Paul you got almost as much done as me. I started sorting things out and cleaning the garage so I can move the roadster inside for winter fun. Trying to get things ready to go to new owners.;)

Went to the NSRA Nationals in Tampa this weekend, blew a wheel cylinder out on my modified. So I really did not get anything done, but now I have something to do.
I did see an abortion of a 41 Willys that won a top 25 pick. I really do not understand why someone would take a car like that and try to make a "custom" out of it.

  5. Loaded the jukebox at our favorite bar in Dunedin and drank Newcastle outside (cold front, 70 degrees) until it started playing other peoples songs Friday night.

Saturday, I finally got to go and remove the trim off the '50 Crestliner that "Crestliner" has been waiting for months for... boxed it up and it's ready to go when I get off of work early enough to catch the P.O. open. Grabbed two 16" 5 on 4.5 wheels off of it for ???, Also had to grind the hood hinges off my '52 for someone else. Looks like I sold the engine out of the 52, so I can commence chopping up the body... anybody need a rolling '52 Ford chassis? Finally cleaned my garage so I can build some furniture for the house. The house is FINALLY clean again after the addition and remodeling.

    Howz that for lame?

Welded up and fit the tranny cross member in the 48 Olds, then finished welding up the motor mounts, and added gussets, to fit the 455 Pontiac. Then dropped the car on its suspension, and set the front fenders on the car, to see if I like the ride height, with the 77 vette front suspension. Works real GOOD!
Then pulled the motor out, and started working on the brake setup, and wire brushing the crap off the frame.

  7. Signed papers for my new house on friday.Whewhew:D
    Take possesion Nov 30th.

Saturday I went out to my shop to get my new car running.
A 61 Belair with a 235,just bout got it fired but couldn't get the lifters to pump up??
Anyone know a trick I can try?
I am thinking of taking the side cover off and filling the lifters up manually then giving it a whirl,or trying to find a spare dizzy to make into a drill primer.

Sunday I hung with the kiddies cuz the wifey was workin and started packin and gettin ready to move.....Shiny

Went to a swap meet and got some new Equiis gauges in the box for $5.00, a set of 416 305 chevy heads for my 283 $50.00, new lifters and a freeze plug kit for $30.00, curved rams horns $10.00, a bunch of Harley Davidson Hallmark picture frames and a set of brand new brake pads MKD154 for $15.00, and a Hamburger and coke $3.00.

Now if I could find an Edelbrock C3B intake I could put that 283 together like I want.

Cleaned out the garage on Sunday preparing for cold weather.

  9. lessee....

I put the Camaro on Ebay...gotta sell it. Then I went to the shop and welded up the cracks in the Cutlasses frame, and replaced a rusted out area. Came out nice - no filer and you can't even tell it was ever cracked or rusted.

Then filled up the van with about half of the parts that go with the camaro and drove home...the van is still waiting to be unloaded.

  10. 3.00 for a swap meet burger, now that's a deal.:D

Sold off a bunch of junk at a swapmeet. Had to talk myself out of buying a pearl white 70's flake steeringwheel that was new in the box.

Saturday - Finally got the 235 bolted into Dad's '53 where the 216 babbit pounder used to live. Got it all wired up only to find there a clank in the oil pan when it turns over. The oil pan was bent so I assume the baffle is getting nicked by the crank somewhere. It will have to wait until next Saturday to find out.

Sunday - Made progress on fabricating the dual exhaust for my '54 stovebolt. Routing that back downpipe has been a real PITA! But it's done. So I'm finally getting to the fun part of mounting the 18" Cherry Bombs. On the first test fit, the driver's side muffler is exactly where I want it... running behind the front wheel and poking 3-4 inches out the side. I asked my girlfriend if it was too obnoxious. She said, "Yes." Perfect!! I just need to hook up the passenger's side and put some high temp paint on it.

I sawed the muffler off the "organ donor" car and revved the engine and my drunken pre-runner-fabbing neighbors cheered. ;)

Scored a new parts hauler, mid-eighties mitsubitchi mini truck! My WW1-veteran grandfather might possibly be rolling in his grave because of that....

A few steps closer to running on the tranny swap. (Putting a Muncie M20 where a TH350 used to be.) Everything's bolted in place, finished running all new brake lines, modifying the clutch/brake pedal assembly out of a 56 Chevy to use a dual brake master and a hydraulic clutch. One of those deals where everything fit perfect in mock-up, then blew it apart for new fasteners and some rattle-can paint... then nothing fit or worked in final assembly... so had to modify some of my modifications   . I have to change to a different exhaust manifold to clear the slave cylinder, so those should be in this week. (thanks, Dad!!! ) Then I'll need to get the front section of the exhaust re-run (something I wanted to do anyways) to fit the rams horns to the rest of my pipes. I hope it'll be done in time to go to the KKOA thing in Dennison, but it doesn't look like I'll have enough cash left over to go!

Saturday was spent lowering the 52..2inch blocks and removed 2 leafs from the rear and cut 11/2 coils out of the front. went quick and easy.
Sunday went to Pomona swap meet. Had a fun time talking shit to people with WAY OVERPRICED stuff.:D Like the guy with the tudor body for 10grand with no title, dash or grill. It was already chopped(not welded just tacked together). I love when these people have crap and think its worth a fortune. 60 el camino needs two new rear pannels or magician with metal and a new tail gate, beutifull 70's mag wheels for the low price of 17k(my insurance co says its worth 17 so thats what its for sale for G.D. idiot)...Although you can get some deals a guy in my club bought a 50's dental chair(he will use for tattooing) for 35 bucks. This thing is in primo working shape.

  21. I finished plumbing the brakes on the panel truck, mounted the gas tank & got a good start on plumbing the fuel line, pump, filter etc. fabbed up a really nice transmission cross member & installed the motor/trans. I'm about ready to drop the body back on! I should have it on the road by spring. Oh yea, I hung out with my new son! Shaun.

Well, shattered the generator pulley in my '31 A sending pieces and cast iron dust all over everywhere. Drove home with no gen or water pump and the hood up on the manifold side to help cool her off.

Replaced the Zenith 2 carb with a fresh Tilly X.

Got my Miller manifold so I can start polishing the interior runners.

And unloaded the Mercedes and fresh Corky's from Hershey (Look for it on an upcoming My Classic Car!:D ).

Sorry to hear 'bout your mod REJ :( .

Installed new Hurst shifter in '49 Shoebox.Old one was a worn out stock unit from a Super T10.It had a reverse where you had to pick up on the lever to access. It would get stuck between R and 1-2. Sucked bad. New on works great.

Finished upholstering trunk panels and installed trunk carpet.
