Looks good to me. Like the 57 too! Just put new Firestone narrow whites on my 55 Cheyy wagon with Cragers. Worried about the look but we like it so far. Always had white lettered tires since 1980's on it. Went way smaller to 215-70-15. The 12 year old radials had like new tread with large bulges in some of them. Maybe there is something to this 5 or 6 year tire life.
Thanks model T1, the camera can't really pick up the colors of the car but I'm very pleased with the look so far. As for the tires, i just jacked one side up and ground the letters off with a 4" electric grinder, then found the "edges" of the white with a 3" air angle grinder then started the car and let the tire spin and took the rest of the black off with the electric grinder, which takes forever. Once that was done I came back with the air grinder and some 80 grit and cleaned it up. Then I let the car down, hopped in and went to the store to get some orange juice.
More like snap on moon discs on a Toyota wagon from the 80's with mexi blankets inside to make it even more "deluxe". We use it to haul kayaks. Kind of a hillbilly surf wagon.
orange juice.-------------- Is that what they call it in Misery? Thanks for tellin us how you did it. Always wanted to try. I belieye this also works with white lettered tires?????????????
