The 11th Lakewood Car Kulture Show, this Saturday August 17th from 10am till 6pm in Lakewood Ohio, 15315 Madison Ave. 500+ hot rods and bikes 1972 and older. Weather looks great, hope to see you there. Jerry
I promised the woman that I would go to the feast with her today, or else I'd be there. I would much rather drive my truck than go to Little Italy.
Runs until 6:00 I believe. Great show every year. I won't make it. Should be some club members there handing out fliers for our reliability run in the fall.
I made my first trip to Lakewood today. Very nice show. It's always good to go somewhere new and not have to see brand new Vettes and Mustangs cluttering up the place.
I wish I could. My company picnic will get in the way of that though. I am hoping to make the Rustbelt Rumble in September. By the way, congratulations on the People's Choice award in the Cruisin Times build-off. The latest CT issue was sitting in my mailbox tonight with your Model "A" on the cover. I definitely like the simpler approach you took.
I arrived a little later than I wanted, but was able to take some photos. I'll try to upload them to my facebook account this week. They will public photos so anyone can see them. You don't need to friend me, but if you do I will accept. Right now there is a photo of me driving a 1930 Ford Model A Snowmobile. My facebook is https://www.facebook.com/darrin.darrins Although a newer car, anyone have any advice on a 1994 Bonneville. I am thinking out parting it out (car needs 4 tires, a battery, and and exhaust rewelded) Unfortunately I don't weld. If I part this out what are the good parts to take off (other then fenders, doors, tail lamps, and head lamps) A contractor saw it in the back yard when working at a neighbors and asked me about it. I told him give me $600 right then ***uming a quick sale. He offered $400 + services but I don't need services. He's bringing a battery on the weekend to look at it more. If he doesn't come with the $600. I might just take the time to strip it out. I just want to know how much the car would be worth if I stripped it out and have the rest towed away for s****. (used to do this all the time when I was younger with my father, but he p***ed away from ALS several Christmases ago) It would be a pitty to strip it, the car was bought knew by my Grandpa (a mechanic by trade) and always have been dealer maintained. Even the interior looks new. Thanks
Loaded 47 photos from the show to my facebook account. Album name is Lakewood Car Kulture Show 2013. (Hopefully I will be able to post more later)
