Well I've added another car to the fleet and this time I'm not sure what I'm going to do with it. My first (60 biscayne) was done slightly traditional with a new engine and brakes so it could be more reliable- was a daily for a while.

Then I picked up a Chrysler royal ute that was someone's half project. And left it all as it was found on the outside and redid the trim in white tuck and roll. It's got plys and a flat head six. And has plenty of character.

Now I've got the wagon. And I'm really undecided if i go the rat direction and just get it going - or do I go through the process of restoration with a little bit of custom work? I love traditional customs and rods - but just not sure which direction to take with this one yet.

[IMG] This look! Leave the paint alone for now. Give it a hard rake. 4" in the ft, maybe 2" blocks in the rear. Then if you desire, Polish what is there for paint, put on road and see what someone would pay you for your troubles.

Stick a Pontiac 455 and TH400 trans in it, and drive it the way it is. It'd be a real sleeper. The tail lights on the 55 Chevrolets and the 55-56 Pontiac WAGONS (except for the 55-56 Pontiac Safari wagon) are interchangeable. Does it have under-the-seat heaters? Butch/56sedandelivery.

  5. Is it a US Pontiac or a Canada/Export car with Chevy drivetrain?

Yeah it's got a fan setup under the seat. Won't be needing them in this weather that's for sure.

I'd leave it as is & make it stop & go. Mabye a389 with 3x2s. Then call it done

Here is mine, 389 dual quads on propane. Finding 9 p***enger parts is like finding a needle in a hay stack!
I may have to sell it to finance the completion of this.

Yeah! I've realised they aren't the most common things around. Let alone in Australia. Certainly wont be getting any rake with wide wheels that's for sure!!
