Does anyone know who sells those scoops?

  14. I was thinking the same thing. Those rule. Mike, you should find out who sells 'em and talk your dad into running a set.

That A is badass, by the way. '60's style cars are where it's at.

  18. Here's a shot of the interior and his green Pickup. Greg's a nice block and a pretty darn good tattoo artist... Pickup is good for low 10's! with traction problems.

As for the scoops I think its Diablo Motors in Sydney that sell them....

    DevilRod,

Any idea who make that scoop ?

Trying to find availability here in the US.

  21. I think they are cast here in Oz. Try QQMOON on here, he is a Sydney boy and from memory he had them on his coop....Also I think he knows Jim at Diablo Motors...

Edit... For some reason Alan Fountains name rings a bell, I think he originally started casting them....... Brootal, QQMOON??????

    Scoops are Al's
I sell them here in N.Z. most cunning plan if there are a bunch of people interested might be to figure who wants em and I can get a heap shipped to one of the aussie HAMB fella's and we can send them to one addr in the usa in a UPS prepaid box ?? A 10kg box would fit 5 sets pretty easy, probably more, sent this way its cheap n easy then the reciver in the US can re-direct sets round the US as needed.....or if thats all to hard I could probably do some individuals PM me if you are interested.

  24. Carb scoops are principally distributed by Al Fountain, but for HAMBers I'd see 55olds88.

Green pickup is also owned, and for sale, by Greg.

There was a guy named Jeff Weston that comes stateside almost everyyear for the LA roadster show and the antique nationals. He was selling some scoops in the swap that he brought from Down under I believe. It seems to me that he had some tear dropped shaped scoops but I have slept since then. I will ask around I do not have his contact but i know some guys who might know the scoop on the scoops for ya. It will take a little while I don't have the guys number to contact but there is a show this weekend and I will more than likely see one of the 2 dudes I'm think would know the scoop.

We had a discussion on here last year about the fake polar bear hair we used back in the late 60's/early 70's for package trays, dash tops and headliners. This is the first car I've seen use it in about 30 years. Needs the shag carpet to go with it to be really authentic tho, and a roach clip hanging on a beaded and feathered chain from the rear view mirror... Peace dude... :)

Yeah the coupes still for sale too, its in the just cars magazine with about $50,000 AUS on it (and its fibreglass), -im not sure whether the fink plates are going with it. Also the green pickup is for sale, cant remember how much but I dont think it was far off the other price.
I think it was his brother that owned the black chopped 53, john chopped it at the first kustom nats. That sold the other week around the 15-17,000 mark i think.
And thos scoops are also on that orange custom 49 chev arent they?? The one that won top custom this year...?
