that looks like a tecalamit jackson ( tj ) throttle body, i have a set from the 1960s for a small block ford, british i think ? can be fitted on a down draft webber manifold.

they were on a chevy weber manifold , but just sitting there , we did not think it ever ran with these on that manifold !

will they work as side drafts too ?

and will the fuel distributor also work with a 4 banger or a 6 cyl. ?

This fuel injection system was developed in England in the 1960's, primarily aimed at road racing, as opposed to Hilborn/Algon which was more for drag racing. Tecalemit-Jackson apparently had a better partial throttle metering system for road racing, but because it was a continuous flow/low pressure, it didn't develop the max power as good as the Lucas - high pressure sequential fuel injection system that had better fuel atomization, more power. None the less, it still was used, and I heard it was at least tested in GT40's. Holman-Moody was the US distributor. The throttle bodies were based off of the weber 48 IDA, and could be bolted on any weber 48IDA intake, each throttle body separately.

you could blank off 4 of the outlets on the distributor and run the throttle bodies on whatever you like they would work as side drafts but they are a basic unit, they have an electric pump up to an engine driven pump which then goes through a metering valve then to the injector, which is a bit like just turning on a tap, sixties racing tech at its finest, idle or wide open throttle !

im not sure, i think i heard something about a formula one car in the sixties with a 215 cu in buick engine possibly with tj injection, i think v8 wise the only kits they did were for small block ford engines, mine look to be factory powder coated satin black, i chopped the flanges off the top and a friend turned the inside out on a lathe and i fitted push in rolled polished carb ram pipes, did it about 15 years ago, dont have any pictures to hand...

I sold some of those to a HAMB poster who runs them lightly up in a side draft manner on a Stude six. In a vintage Midget. You might do a search and find it here.
