FED from Florida to L.A

    Hey all....Im looking to purchase a FED in Florida,trouble is the quotes ive had to get it to Carson L.A are pretty hefty
    it doesn't have a trailer either
    Does anyone regularly do this journey??? or is there an alternative???
    Any help is appreciated

    Gav do an intro as per the forum rules. You can get your FED shipped out of the Eastern side of the US which will save you on a lot of internal freight.

    FPS Shipping here in NZ. My Model A came in through them from the East coast. Easy to deal with and reliable.

    Had a dragster shipped from upstate NY to here in carson. had the guy take it apart and strap it down to a long pallet. Built a 2x4 cage around the body/cage area and put the front axle and wheels and everything else inside the frame rails. Called it "freight" instead of "car".
    Yellow Freight trucked it out (and this was a few years ago) $475

    Thanks dreracecar...thats a good thought,its 155" long so at a guess 170" overall......wouldnt be very wide,i wonder if the whole thing could be "boxed" up for transport???

    Mine was 150" wb, 4 standard pallets strung together with 2x4 and used "J" bolts to lock it down. Boxing it up takes time and cost money, My guy did it for free.

    I want to race it....ive always loved the FED's and there's not many over here,And i dont have the time to build one.....Hence the reason im on here lol
    Now just to sort out the shipping,I love the whole "silver mask and cannon ball helmet" look.....can't wait
