Im ordering some parts from speedway Monday are they alliance member friendly. I never took advantage of the discounts on here is there anything I need to have to get the discount Any code or alliance info?
No but if you do a search, I've seen some codes on here for free shipping from them. If you click the link at the top, there's a list of venders
Yah I looked through there and i didn't see them directly but someone had speedway under their ad. I got phone call and when i came back to look it up i can't find it now. OK thanks For info
Not too sure if Ryan would want them as an Alliance vendor. A recent PM from him explained his opinion of their business methods and although they do provide a source for needed parts, I understand his position is "Buy American" Hard to dispute that !! But WTF, his show-his rules ( Check their website often-they usually have some shipping deals )
LOL, have you READ how ppl talk about them on here? personally I haven't had any issues...but they have been listing speedway discount codes, think I saw one just last week or so
Ryan has good reasons for buying American, it helps our economy and our workers. I personally don;t like feeding the Chinese. When I worked for Speedway, Bill Smith was showing someone around the place and was bragging that he started using Asian sources back in the late 60's, early 70's. It does increase his profits, but doesn't benefit out economy or workers at all
OK illl check out kelly's hot rods. Yah i don't really want to help the chinese either. I guess i need to read ryans post.
The speed equipment industry has been using off shore sources for 50+ years. Before going off shore, many manufacturers were using plants in Mexicali and Tiajuna Mexico. Send a thank you note to the EPA for pretty much killing the chrome plating and aluminum polishing business on the west coast. I pretty much agree that buy American is a good thing to promote. However, it's doubtful if very many people here on the HAMB would be willing to pay the real cost of US made speed equipment. While you're sending thank you notes, be sure and include the mega-giant WD's that got into the mail order business and killed the local speed shops.
